Beautiful Spring Malaga Wedding at Boutique Hotel

Sarah and Pauls Beautiful Malaga Wedding at

Hotel Cortijo Bravo

There are some weddings that feel particularly special because you have been part of the journey from the very beginning. Sarah and Paul’s Malaga wedding was one of those weddings.

We first met Sarah and Paul back in 2023, when they were beginning to plan their destination wedding in Spain. They had already been looking at different venues and were searching for somewhere that felt just right for their wedding day.

When they discovered Hotel Cortijo Bravo, it was love at first sight. They immediately fell for the beautiful setting, the character of the hotel and its spectacular views across the surrounding Malaga countryside. Most importantly, they could instantly imagine themselves celebrating their wedding there.
There was just one rather exciting adventure standing between booking their wedding and the big day.......Sarah and Paul were about to head off travelling to Australia for a couple of years.

Rather than put their wedding plans on hold, they decided to get everything organised before they left. Their wedding at Hotel Cortijo Bravo was securely booked, giving them something very special to look forward to when they eventually returned home. And when their wedding day finally arrived on 22nd May, it was every bit as beautiful as they had hoped.

From Our First Meeting to Their Malaga Wedding

When we first met Sarah and Paul in 2023, they were excited about getting married in Spain but were still exploring their options. Like many couples planning a destination wedding in Malaga, they had looked at a number of different venues and were trying to decide which one would give them the atmosphere and experience they wanted for their wedding.

As soon as they saw Hotel Cortijo Bravo, however, something clicked. It wasnt simply a case of finding a beautiful wedding venue. They could picture their whole wedding day there from getting ready at the hotel, having their ceremony surrounded by the beauty of the Spanish countryside, enjoying drinks with their guests and sitting down to a wonderful wedding banquet before celebrating late into the evening.

The decision was made. They booked their wedding before setting off on their travels, which meant that while they were exploring Australia and enjoying their incredible adventure, their wedding plans were safely in place back in Spain. It must have been quite lovely to know that, alongside all the excitement of travelling, there was another very special adventure waiting for them when they returned.

Choosing the Perfect Malaga Wedding Venue

One of the biggest decisions for any couple planning a Malaga wedding is choosing the right venue. There are so many beautiful wedding venues in Malaga and across the Costa del Sol, from beachfront locations overlooking the Mediterranean to traditional Spanish fincas and elegant country hotels.

For Sarah and Paul, Hotel Cortijo Bravo was the clear winner. Set in the hills above the Malaga coast, Hotel Cortijo Bravo has a wonderfully romantic Spanish character. Its beautiful architecture, gardens, terraces and surrounding countryside create a setting that feels both elegant and relaxed. It is also the kind of venue where so much of the wedding day can happen in one place. For a destination wedding, this can make a huge difference. Guests can arrive, settle into the atmosphere and enjoy the whole celebration without having to travel between different locations throughout the day. For Sarah and Paul, it was exactly what they had been looking for.

A Wedding to Look Forward To

After booking their wedding, Sarah and Paul could head off to Australia knowing that the most important part was taken care of. Their wedding date was set, their beautiful Malaga wedding venue was secured and there was something very exciting waiting for them when their travels came to an end. Fast forward to 22nd May, and the long wait was finally over.

The wedding day arrived with all the excitement and anticipation that comes with a destination wedding, and Hotel Cortijo Bravo provided the perfect backdrop for their celebration. It was a beautiful day from beginning to end.

Bridal Preparations at Hotel Cortijo Bravo

The wedding day began with bridal preparations at Hotel Cortijo Bravo. One of the lovely things about getting ready at your wedding venue is that there is no rushing around or worrying about travelling to the ceremony. Instead, the morning can be enjoyed at a much more relaxed pace.

As Sarah prepared for her wedding day, the excitement gradually built as the time for the ceremony approached. There is always something magical about those final moments before a bride walks down the aisle. After months – and in Sarah and Pauls case, years – of planning and anticipation, the moment had finally arrived. And Sarah looked absolutely beautiful.

A Romantic Malaga Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was romantic, intimate and incredibly special. Surrounded by the beautiful setting of Hotel Cortijo Bravo and their closest family and friends, Sarah and Paul finally said their vows and became husband and wife. There is something particularly wonderful about getting married in Spain. The combination of the warm Mediterranean climate, beautiful scenery and relaxed atmosphere creates a very different feeling from a traditional wedding back home.

For couples choosing a Malaga wedding, that sense of being somewhere special is often one of the biggest attractions. For Sarah and Paul, their ceremony was everything they had hoped it would be, romantic, personal and surrounded by the people who mattered most. After all the planning, travelling and waiting, they were finally married.

Drinks, Dinner and a Beautiful Wedding Reception

Once the ceremony was over, it was time to relax and celebrate. The drinks reception gave Sarah and Paul and their guests the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Hotel Cortijo Bravo, raise a glass to the newlyweds and spend time together in the Spanish sunshine.

For destination wedding couples, this part of the day is often one of the most memorable. Guests have travelled from home to celebrate with you, and a relaxed drinks reception gives everyone the chance to catch up, enjoy a few drinks and soak up the atmosphere before dinner. The celebrations continued with a beautiful wedding banquet. Good food, great company and a spectacular setting are the perfect combination for a Spanish wedding reception, and Sarah and Pauls dinner was a wonderful part of their day.

An Incredible Wedding Party

The celebrations continued into the evening with an incredible wedding party, giving Sarah and Paul and their guests the chance to really let their hair down. After everything they had been through to reach this point, from their first venue searches in 2023 to their travels around Australia and finally returning for their wedding, there was certainly plenty to celebrate. The atmosphere was fantastic and the party was the perfect way to finish a truly memorable Malaga wedding.

It is always wonderful to see a wedding day evolve from the quiet excitement of the bridal preparations, through the emotion of the ceremony and the relaxed drinks reception, into a lively evening of music, dancing and celebration. Sarah and Pauls wedding had all of those moments.

A Malaga Wedding Worth Waiting For

Looking back, it is rather fitting that Sarah and Paul booked their wedding so far in advance. They knew almost immediately that Hotel Cortijo Bravo was the venue for them, and having everything securely booked before they left for Australia meant they could enjoy their travels knowing their wedding plans were taken care of. Then, after a couple of years of adventure, they returned to Spain to celebrate one of the biggest days of their lives.

Their wedding on 22nd May was beautiful, romantic and full of happiness, and Hotel Cortijo Bravo was every bit as perfect as they had imagined when they first discovered it. We were absolutely delighted to be part of their journey from those very first conversations in 2023 through to their wedding day.
