Our last wedding in July 2019 and it was truly a magical day. Laura and Kaz enjoyed their wedding day at our stunning 18th Century country wedding venue here in Spain. Surrounded by their family and friends this wedding day will be remembered for many years. As Laura got ready in the bridal suite with her lovely bridesmaids, Kaz and his groomsmen got themselves all sorted and then joined the rest of the guests for a drink and a chance to have a mingle with everyone before they all took to their seat eager to see Laura make her entrance.
With the guests seated in the beautiful secret garden which is such a lovely private area of the wedding venue, Kaz stod at the front with the celebrant waiting to see his beauitiful bride walk down the aisle, the music started and the bridesmaids made their entrance followed by the beautiful Laura who looked absolutely fabulous in her Ivory wedding dress with lace detail and an elegant bouquet with soft blues and whites. The ceremony was full of love and laughter and once pronounced Husband and Wife the newly weds made their exit into the wedding venues grounds and walked up the fantastic red carpet staircase to their wedding banquet area.
The banquetting space is an outstanding location, surrounded by mature trees and a water fountain that takes centre stage, the tables looked wonderful with vibrant colours and a moroccan inspired theme. Delicious food was consumed and it was time for those all important wedding speeches, we love listening to all the speeches and hearing about the couple and their past adventures together. As the sun started to set they all moved to the marquee for the evening celebrations, here they cut the FAB wedding cake that not only looked great but also tasted amazing too. Laura and Kaz took to the dance floor for their first dance, which was such a magical moment as they moved around the floor full of love and happiness ready to start their next chapter together, they then welcomed everyone to join them and continue the wedding party into the evening.
Congratulations to Laura and Kaz we wish you many happy years together as Husband and Wife and it was truly our pleasure being part of your special day and thank you for joining us in Spain and getting married in Nerja.

It was a beautiful summers day in Spain perfect for Maria and Páidí Spanish wedding day. With wedding morning preparations well under way for Maria and her girls, Páidí enjoyed a glass or two with his guests as he waited patiently to see his stunning bride.
Their wedding ceremony was held at one of our beauitful Spanish churches, with everyone waiting in their seats, Páidí waited at the front with the priest in excitement to see Maria make her entrance, and she did just that, she looked absolutely incredible in her vintage inspired wedding dress, with soft locks and a beauitful elegant bouquet. The service was lovely and once declared Husband and Wife the guests all clapped as he his is bride. They made their exit out onto the Spanish Streets with the guests following behind. They all then moved onto the wedding banquet location which was an exclusive wedding villa set in the Spanish countryside, the wedding venue is simply beautiful with total privacy, large gardens that enjoy the views and plenty of charm and charactor.
The tables were all decorated with soft elegant flowers which in turn, creating a wonderful romantic ambience. With delicious food consumed, drinks flowing it was time for those all important wedding speeches, one of our favorite parts of the day. As the guests laughed and cried happy tears it was such a memorable part of the day. The newly weds then moved to the cutting the cake, a tradition that has been around for many years, the sun was now starting to sun so they all moved into the villa to the reception room where their evening celebrations continued. Maria and Páidí took the dance floor and shared that magical first dance moment as Husband and Wife, they then welcome everyone to join them onto the dance for whilst they continued dancing into the early hours.
Congratulations to Maria and Páidí on your wedding day in Spain, we wish you many happy years together and thank you for letting us be apart of your special day, it really was our pleasure.

Creating magical wedding photos is so important when it comes to your wedding days as these are what we look back over time and reminise about that special day and all those family and friends who joined you for your wedding in Spain. But sometimes it can be fun to get a bit more creative with our wedding photos and add something different to that all important wedding album.
So with this in mind...... who is up for trashing their wedding dress?
Trashing your wedding dress seems to be a growing trend with many couples picking unique and creative locations to get creative and truly capture some magical and unqiue photos, is this something you have ever thought about doing? This trend has been taking the world by storm and more more photographers acround the world are offering this as part of their services, the trend started back in the USA in the late 90s and from their its just grown and grown over the years and we are seeing that over the past few years more and more couples are picking this as an extra for the wedding photos. Remember if you can't quite bring yourself to trash your orginal wedding dress, why not grab a cheapy white dress that you can use for your photos and then you can still get those amazing photos in a wedding dress :)
With so many different ways of trashing your dress and it doesnt always have to be that you ruin your wedding dress as it depends on how wild you want to be, from inwater/underwater photo shoots, to paint fights or a photo shoot at a muddy farm you can be so creative and its a lovely way to show you and your partners personality.
Another huge trend that has been popular for the past few years and we will be seeing again this year are smoke bombs wedding photos. We love these photos they really do capture fantastic wedding photos that add colour and uniqueness. What is nice about the smoke bomb photos you can get your guests invloved in these photos too. You can get a range of colours to pick from and if you are thinking of doing this for your wedding day you just need to check with your wedding planner/wedding venue that they will allow the smoke bombs.
So in the name of Art - will you be Trashing Your Dress or using Smoke Bombs for your wedding photos?? maybe something to consider for your 1st wedding anniversay celebrations.
If you would like further information about adding some fun and creative wedding photos to your wedding day with on of our professional Spanish photographers then please feel free to get in touch and we would be more than happy to discuss this with you
It was a warm summers wedding day in Spain as Ruth and her bridesmaids enjoyed the wedding morning preparations, with plenty of fun, laughter and a few glasses the bubbles the girls enjoyed the stunning bedroom inside the historic wedding venue in Nerja, with hair and makeup completed it was time to slip into their dresses and get ready to meet Michael, the groomsmen and the rest of the guests at the wonderful outdoor ceremony location. As Michael waited at the front with the celebrant and his groomsmen, Ruth made her entrance with her dad by her side and she looked amazing in her soft elegant wedding dress. The ceremony was beautiful and incorpoarted the hand fastening ceremony which is always a lovely touch, as they were pronounced Husband and Wife they guests all cheered and the newly weds exited down the aisle into the venue grounds with the guests following.
The banqueting space is a lovely area that sits at the top of a wonderful staircase that really does create a WOW factor, with the guests gathered along the edge of the staircase the new MR and MRS made they way up the stairs to the banquetting area with their guests in tow. It was decorated beautifully by our very taleneted venue decorators with soft whites and greens creating a simple but elegant ambience to the tables, with everyone all seated it was time to enjoy delicious food, plenty of bubbles and of course those all important speeches. As the sun started to set Ruth and Michael took to the floor to cut their wedding cake and then they all moved down to their wedding marquee where the evening celebrations continued, with the first dance enjoyed by all the couple enjoyed that wonderful moment just the two of them as they moved around the dancefloor enjoying their special song, they then welcomed everyone to join them onto the dance floor to continue dancing into the early hours.
Congraulations to Ruth and Michael, we wish you many happy years together as Husband and Wife and it was our pleasure being part of your special day.

It truly was a magical day for Miriam and Stephen, who decided that getting married in Spain was the perfect destination for them. Surrounded by their family and friends that picked one of our stunning Spanish Churches and our fantastic 18th century country mansion for their wedding day celebrations.
Miriam and Stephen's day began at our beauitful Spanish church for their ceremony which is spectucular inside and out, with a beautiful exterior and as you step inside it is full of gold features and plenty of warmth. With Stephen waiting at the alter for his bride-to-be to make her entrance, the guests all took their seats and looked on as the beautiful Miriam walked down the aisle arm in arm with her Dad. She looked stunning and everyone beamed when they saw her. With a lovely serviced completed and vows and rings exchanged the priest was pleased to announed them Husband and Wife and they made their way down the aisle ready to start their next journey together.
Their wedding reception was held at our stunning 18th Century Mansion which is a popular wedding venue for us and you can see why, with lush gardens, beautiful terrace spaces and the property itself really does create an outstanding backdrop. The grounds are the ideal opportunity to caputure some wonderful wedding photos and Miriam and Stephen took advantage of this and slipped away with their photographer Pedro Bellido to enjoy the backdrop and their wedding venue in Spain.
The wedding banquet was set outside on the beautiful terrace space that has a beautiful water feature in the centre and then surrounded by large trees creating privacy. With everyone seated, they enjoyed the delicous food and a flow of drinks combined with plenty of laughter that filled the space. With speeches enjoyed and the tradition of cutting the cake completed, the sun started to set which allowed the romantic lighting to take centre stage which really creates a whole different ambience. Time for the guests to watch in awe as the newly weds took centre stage and experienced their magical first dance, it was a lovely moment to watch and once it finished the guests joined them on the dance floor and enjoyed their evening entertainement, which was a superb band.
Congratulations to Miriam and Stephen we wish you many happy years together and it was a pleasure being able to plan your wedding in Spain.

Our last wedding of the 2018 season and it was truly a wonderful day. Cameille and Dermot got married on a beautiful Novembers day in Spain at our wonderful boutique hotel Cortijo Bravo in Nerja. Surrounded by their family and friends they celebrated in style with a wonderful outdoor ceremony set in the venues grounds overlooking the amazing views of the Spanish countryside. With guests awaiting the arrival of Cameille they all took to their seats, as Dermot waited patiently at the front with his groomsmen by his side. As Cameille made her entrance she looked stunning. The ceremony was beautiful, as the celebrant pronounced them Husband and Wife their guests clapped and cheered as Dermot kissed Cameille.
They made their exit back down the aisle with the guests following behind onto the stunning terrace area where they enjoys drinks, entertainment and the uninterupted views that this venue has to offer. The grounds of the venue are breathtaking and Cameille and Dermot made use of the fantastic backdrop as they slipped away with their wedding photographer to captured plenty of memorable wedding photos.
The wedding banquet was dressed to impress with stunning decorations created by our very talented venue decorators, the tables looked beautiful with soft, elegant and romantic centrepieces. With delicious food served and speeches exchanged it was time for the newlyweds to continue with the wedding traditions and cut the cake and then onto that magical first dance as Husband and Wife. As they moved around the dance floor the guests watched in awe, then they joined them to continue the celebrations into the early hours.
Congratulations to Cameille and Dermot, it was our pleasure being part of your magical day in Spain and we wish you many happy years together as Husband and Wife.
Thank you to all the suppliers who worked together to ensure their wedding in Spain was exactly as they had always dreamed of.

Here is Aleksandra's 2nd article, all focusing on your wedding guests. It has some wonderful tips and advice and don't miss out at the bottom of the article her special offer to all our Perfect Spanish Wedding clients!
What to wear to a wedding - wedding guests
So, your best friend is getting married! You know you don’t want to outshine the bride, but want to look and feel great and support your friend.
And if you’re single…well who knows!
You know it’s going to be documented to kingdom come, so you don’t want anything too on trend that you’ll look back on and cringe, but you still want a style that feels like you…
Maybe you’ve got the rehearsal, and the ceremony, and the party, and the brunch…thankfully there are plenty of fabulous options out there that can also multi-function when you get back home. With just a few frocks, a couple of pairs of shoes and bikinis in your carry on, you’re wedding ready!
I love, a bit of casual sparkle in the Spanish sunshine - and even Zara has some great options that can be worn later in the year to Christmas and New Year events. I used to be the Creative Director for Vanessa Bruno, and I love this picture of the silver sequins in the sunshine!
Worn with flats to play them down for the daytime, or heels to dress them up, you don’t need any accessories, apart from a little clutch bag perhaps, or the finest gold chain or bracelet, and they are surprisingly easy to wear!
(Vanessa Bruno, Zara, Ulla Johnson, The Vampires Wife, Galvan. Bottom row – Mango)
are always fun and a little flirty!
(Oscar De La Renta, Caroline Constas, Zara)
3. Lace Dresses
are wedding classics, and can easily be worn with some black tights, boots and big knits back in the UK (I’m originally from Cheshire, and am all about the whimsical dress plus thermals plus shiny boots and knitwear come winter) I especially love the colourful chunky lace styles that feel more cool and contemporary.
(Jigsaw, Erdem, Maje, Maje, Sandro)
4.Tropical Shades
There are some amazing vibrant block colour styles at the moment, which feel at once timeless and fun, and don’t need much else apart from you in them! Don’t be afraid to experiment with colour – it photographs really well, and can be much more flattering than neutrals. Dresses and jumpsuits can be thoughtfully accessorised with softer coloured bags or subtle accessories – a fine chain or a few layered up with charms personal to you, or a jewelled tennis bracelet, gold hoops or a pearl anklet perhaps...it’s the small details that add your personal touch and make all the difference.
(Alice and Olivia, Mango, Maje, Alice and Olivia, Self Portrait. Bottom Row: Reformation, Maje, Alice and Olivia, Maje)
5. Florals
Whatever kind of girl you are, whatever your body shape - there’s a floral for you to blossom in! Not just for garden parties, floral frocks can be perfect for the main event, or for the next day lunchy-brunch where you need an easy to wear style after a few too many glasses of champagne the night before!
(Erdem, Bernadette, Saloni, Reformation, Paco Rabane. Bottom Row: Saloni, Alice and Olivia, Alice and Olivia, Whistles, Prada. Emilia Wickstead.)
6. Easy Breezy Romance
Classic pastels can still look great, and if it’s really hot, you might want to consider breathable fabrics and crisp cotton styles, such as these from Rosie Assoulin, otherwise a floaty synthetic is fine unless you really feel the heat. I’d add some big earrings and bangles or bracelets to these styles to keep them feminine but modern, and they’d look great with a faux python sandal, or a shot of strappy fuchsia pink or bright turquoise footwear, to keep the look contemporary.
This pale pink organza number, is actually synthetic, but breezy enough for the air to pass through!
(Maje, Rixo, Rosie Assoulin, Rosie Assoulin, Reformation, bottom row Rosie Assoulin, Maje)
As always, if you have any questions or comments I’d love to hear - ask away!

Our last September wedding and it was truly a wonderful day for Joanne and Albert who celebrated their special wedding day at at our wonderful Casa de los Bates surounded by their family and guests.
With Joanne and her bridemaids getting ready in one of the beautfully decorated bedrooms, Albert and his groomsmen once dressed joined the rest of the guests in the venue's grounds for a few drinks.
With everyone ready to take to their seats inside the delightful secret garden spot, Joanne made her entrance down the perfect red stairs into the venues gardens and through the archway into the secret garden where Albert waited at the front. Joanne looked amazing in her lace wedding dress that was truly a standout dress. With the ceremony in full swing the guests enjoyed watching the couple exchange their wedding vows and wedding rings and clapped and cheered as they were declared Husband and Wife.
With Albert and Joanne walking back down the aisle and into the gardens the guests all followed, the venue was then set up for welcome drinks which was very much enjoyed by all the guests. This was the chance for Joanne and Albert to slip away for a few moments together and enjoy their wedding venue surroundings, their photography Ruth Blamire then joined the couple within the gardens and took advantage of the amazing backdrops and captured some wonderful wedding photos that will create lasting memories.
It was time for the wedding banquet which was decorated in soft pinks and whites creating a lovely romantic ambience, with the guests all at their tables they raised their hands as the welcomed the newlyweds down the stairs into the stunning banquetting space that is surrounded by trees and a lovely water feature in the centre. With speeches completed and toasts made it was the special moment for the couple to cut their wedding cake and take to the dance floor for their first dance as Husband and Wife, as all the wedding guests surrounded the dance floor Joanne and Albert enjoyed this lovely moment between them, once their song was finished the guests joined them onto the dance floor and enjoyed their evening entertainment into the early hours.
Congratulations again to Joanne and Albert, it was a delight planning your wedding in Spain and we wish you many years together as Husband and Wife.

Mother of the Bride Style
Even though you’re content and happy in your life, and thrilled for your daughter, it’s normal to have concerns about what to wear on the big day…
Maybe your body shape has changed or you have a menopausal waistline, a few more lines than before, and don’t feel as stylish as you used to…and you know that people will be looking at you.
You know you’ll be photographed and documented from every angle whether you like it or not! And todays candid shots and videos are very different to traditional staged wedding photographs!
Maybe you’re not used to being in the limelight – and although it’s your daughter’s big day – you are a star here too! It’s also your day, and although you don’t want to outshine her, you deserve to look and feel great!
You’re going to be busy – and emotional, so it’s important that your feel as prepared and as gorgeous as possible in your outfit…
3.Consider how you look from behind – often the mother of the bride is positioned at the front at the ceremony, and at the signing - and on video you are also visible from all angles!
Likewise, speak with your daughter about your outfit, and consider what the bridesmaids are wearing - you don’t need to match, but you don’t want to clash either.
Put on a little make—up and wear some nice underwear, so you’re prepared for any sales assistants busting into your cabin, or those annoying not quite to the end of the wall changing room curtains, and feel good about yourself before you set off.
I like to start a shopping day in a café with a freshly brewed black coffee and a pastry, so it feels like a treat, and to hit the shops early before everything goes awry in the shops. Mess is not conducive to looking good and feeling good!
Online can also be amazing – especially with a glass of wine!
Lots of Love, Aleksandra, your style whisperer

Colm, Jo Ann and their family and friends all joined them in Spain to celebrate their wedding day in style. They picked our fabulous Casa de los Bates that enjoys a wonderful interior full of charm and charactor and amazing venue grounds that enjoy stunning views and are perfect for a sunshine wedding.
Jo Ann and her best ladies enjoyed a pamper session the morning of the wedding from our talented hair and make up suppliers, whilst Colm and his groomsmen in another part of the venue got ready with a few beverages.
Even though the rain appeared just as the ceremony was about to begin this did not dampen the wonderful ambience, they say rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck :) so with umbrellas at the ready Jo Ann and her bridesmaids made they way out into the venue grounds and began walking down the fabulous red carpeted stairs to the marquee where Colm, his groomsmen and the rest of the guests waited patiently to see the bride make her entrance. Escorted down the aisle my her Mum and Dad, Jo Ann looked radiant with a beautiful A-line wedding dress with wonderful detail on the top. Colm beamed as he saw Jo Ann, it was a wonderful ceremony full of emotions, as they were declared Husband and Wife, they kissed and made their exit back along the aisle.
With the rain stopping they made their way outside to capture some wonderful wedding photos, with drinks flowing it was time to take to their seats for their wedding banquet, this took place inside the marquee which was beautifully decorated by our talented venue decorators. With the sun starting to set it Colm and Jo Ann cut their delicious wedding cake and took to the dance floor for their first dance as Husband and Wife. Everyone joined them on the dance floor once their dance had finished and continued the evening celebrations into the early hours.
Congratulations to Colm and Jo Ann, it was a delight being part of your special day and we wish you all the best for your future together.

Who is the ‘perfect harpist’ for my wedding in Spain?
By Adel and Karina, 2 of Harps
Adel and Karina tell us, “We were recently asked some interesting questions by a couple, who are planning on a destination wedding in Spain. Being fluent speakers of Spanish, it got us thinking about planning a wedding in Spain and all the logistics associated with the music.
The questions the couple asked us included…”
Does your wedding harpist need to live in Spain, if you are planning a destination wedding?
When booking a harpist for your wedding in Spain, it’s not important whether they live in Spain. As long as you arrange with your harpist beforehand, the times they are needed to perform, this should not be an issue. If you book a harpist who is used to travelling to perform, this will also put your mind at ease. Some harpists who travel abroad from the UK will fly, whilst others prefer to travel by car. It’s always best to ask your harpist how they plan to get to your wedding in Spain when you book them for your big day.
2 of Harps are used to travelling and have an insight into the Spanish way of life, as they used to live in Spain. They have two smaller Mark Norris Harps (https://2ofharps.com/our-harps-2/) which are perfect for your wedding abroad and will suit any venue. They are fitted with pickups which means they can fill large spaces with amplification. These harps even have their own carbon fibre flight cases, to keep them extra safe during their journey.
Should your wedding harpist be able to speak Spanish?
If you’re hiring a harpist for your wedding in Spain, it’s not necessary for them to speak Spanish, however it is useful if you’re using other local Spanish suppliers on your big day.
Adel said, “Because we lived in Spain, being able to speak fluent Spanish, amongst other languages is such a useful skill to have. You never know when you may need to use your knowledge of the languages. It can also be a special touch, if some of the family are Spanish speakers, because they too can ask us about the harp music and our instruments. It’s nice to be able to converse with guests without an interpreter.”
Karina also said, “We don’t profess to be experts, but having spoken to some of our Spanish friends, we know that celebrant led English weddings in Spain are run differently to local Spanish weddings. Usually couples from abroad (such as the UK), who dream of their celebrant led wedding in Spain, will also hold either a civil or registry office ceremony back at home to make their marriage official. I know that couples who want to hold a legal civil/religious wedding in Spain, must meet the two-year residency requirements.”
I’m getting married (holding a blessing) in Spain, do I have to include Spanish music?
No, there is no need to include Spanish music however, there is a fantastic eclectic mix of Spanish music for your wedding ceremony in Spain, if you’re looking for that ‘authentic’ vibe. Whether you want something traditional, modern, or classical, Spanish music has many different genres to suit your taste.
2 of Harps love performing Latin-pop songs which are also popular all over the world and are probably already known by your guests from Shakira to Luis Fonsi. This genre is perfect for blending with other upbeat party-style tunes that your friends and family will absolutely love.
It’s not only important for you to create a wedding playlist which matches your wedding theme in Spain, but also represents you as a couple.
Adel said, “My tips for planning your wedding playlist for your Spanish Blessing would be to think about what you both listen to together. Or maybe you have a special song which was playing when you first met. If you both have a favourite film, why not listen to the soundtrack for some inspiration? Creating your playlist as a couple is one of the most exciting parts of music planning. This can be even before you’ve booked your wedding entertainment, as it will give you both a clearer idea about what type of music you both enjoy. But remember many ‘classical’ musicians such as harpist don’t only play traditional and romantic music, but every sort of genre. We LOVE performing alternative-indie, pop-rock and classic soul covers”.
What else should I expect from a harpist at my wedding in Spain?
If you’re booking your harpist or for that matter your other suppliers, it’s important to make sure you agree when and where they will be performing and what time they will arrive at your venue in Spain. It may also be worth asking, if any of your suppliers are used to travelling abroad – if not perhaps one of team is more akin to traveling to Spain, so can help co-ordinate your support team, that might include your photographer, makeup and hair artist.
The good thing about booking a multilingual harpist (a harpist who speaks two or more languages) is that there is far less risk of miscommunication. It makes it easier for you, and/or your wedding planner if your harpist can contact them or the venue without having to use Google Translate!
What you can expect from 2 of Harps when making a booking them for a wedding in Spain, is that we can help you and your family feel at ease.
On our return to the UK, we can continue to support you by:
On the 30th June 2018 Anna and Michael had a wonderful wedding in Spain surrounded by their close family and friends, they picked a fabulous Spanish boutique hotel in Malaga that is situated in the countryside. Not only does it enjoy a fantastic setting for your Spanish wedding but also endless opportunities for your ceremony and banquet spaces plus amazing potential to create plenty of magical and memorable wedding photos.
As Anna enjoyed some pampering and a glass of bubbles with her girls, Michael and his groomsmen got prepared in another room with plenty of laughter within the room. With all the guests enjoying the views and the drinks were flowing they took to their seats, with Michael at the front awaiting the entrance of his stunning bride-to-be, and WOW Anna did make her entrance, so looked absolutley fabulous!
It was a wonderful ceremony set within the grounds overlooking the amazing mountains and valleys with the Spanish sunshine shining down. With their wedding vows exchanged, the guests clapped and cheered once the celebrant was delighted to declare them Husband and Wife.
Anna, Michael and their wedding guests moved to the wonderful terrace area within this stunning Spanish wedding venue and enjoyed their wedding drinks, a chance to mingle whilst enjoying that amazing backdrop, this is why Anna and Michael chose to get married in Spain at this stunning venue. Whilst the guests relaxed in the sunshine, Anna and Michael slipped away with their wedding photographer Pierre Richardson to take advantage of the venues grounds and create some truly inspirational wedding photos.
Time for the newly weds to make their entrance as the new Mr and Mrs and rejoin their guests for food, drinks, speeches and toasts. As the sun started to set and the evening's ambience kicked it creating a lovely romantic setting with all the soft lighting, they then took to the floor to enjoy their first dance as Husband and Wife, the evening celebrations continued and it was truly a wonderful day for all.
Congratulations to Anna and Michael , we wish you many happy years together as Husband and Wife. It was a pleasure being part of your special day.

With another beautiful Autumn wedding day in Spain, GIllian and John got ready for their wedding. Gillian and her bridemaids enjoyed plenty of pampering from our talented hair and makeup artists, whilst John and his groomsmen enjoyed a glass or two and plenty of banter that filled the room as they all gave each other a helping hand to get ready.
With the guests all assembling at the church, the boys made their way with John eager to see his stunning bride walk down the aisle. As the guests took to their feet, Gillian and her uncle made their entrance with everyone looking in awe at how beautiful she looked. As she joined John at the alter he beamed from ear to ear. With a wonderful ceremony conducted, the priest was happy to pronounce them Husband and Wife and you may now kiss your bride. With everyone cheering and a round of applause filled the church they made their exit outside onto the beautiful Spanish streets.
Their wedding banquet was held at our amazing 16th Century Spanish Castle that is truly a fantastic wedding venue in Spain. Situated in Malaga it not only offers you plenty of charm and charactor inside and out but also enjoys endless views of the town and sea. With guests enjoying their welcome drink and chatting amougst themselves Gillian and John got to spend a few moments just the two of them to take in their special day and the wonderful backdrop they chose.
Time for everyone to move inside and take to their seats and welcome the new MR and MRS to the table, with speeches well underway and delicious food consumed it was time for a bit of typical Spanish entertainment, as the flamenco dancers took the centre stage they gave an amazing show and also got Gillian involved too. Time for the traditional cake cutting moment and of course that first dance as Husband and Wife. As the couple moved around the dance floor everyone watched on the sideline enjoying this very special moment. Once their first dance had finished they welcomed everyone to join them onto the dance floor as they danced into the early hours.

But this is where Perfect Spanish Weddings is here to help, we have a fantastic venue stylist that will listen to your ideas and dreams and help transform your chosen wedding venue into you perfect wedding location.
So lets get started:
When planning your wedding there are 4 areas of decorations you need to consider
1) Venue Decorations
2) Ceremony/Church Decorations
3) Table Decorations
4) Seating Plan
Questions you might need to ask yourself...
1) What type of decorations do you want - floral, candles, lanterns, mirrors, feathers, wood to name a few
2) Your Budget - maybe split that into the 3 sections - venue, ceremony and table.
3) Your colour scheme and what style of wedding you are looking to achieve, rustic, classic, romantic, boho, industrial to name a few.
One thing to bare in mind if when picking your flowers for the decorations it might help if you know what is in season for the time of year you are getting married as this will make a huge impact. Just remember that if you have your heart set on a flower and colour and this is not in season in Spain, it will have to be imported which will effect your budget.
So lets get creative...
Venue Decorations - With plenty of great ideas out there, your hanging decoration can really help create the perfect look for your wedding day in Spain. From adding some romantic fairly lighting to create a beautiful atmosphere to hanging some colourful buntin or various other hanging decorations from hearts, to flowers to glass jars can add a special touch to the area. or some hanging buntin or paper lanterns.
Ceremony Decorations - A great opportunity to add some creative flair to your ceremony locations, from adding a simple sash to a chair and add a transformation. But a huge trend at the moment is adding some flowers to the chair this really does look stunning. You can also add a red carpet entrance which really creates a WOW factor and then decorations either at the top and end of the aisle or running all the way along the aisle to help create the perfect ambience.
Table Decorations - This is where you can really start to get creative and add your personality to your wedding. With some many ideas out there I fully understand why some people arent sure where to start. You can have floral centrepieces, lanterns, candles, vases, wishing trees, feathers to name a few all offering an amazing look for your wedding. And you can go as small and simple as you like or big and bold to create a real statement to your wedding tables. Here are some example of our past weddings.
Seating Plans - This is where you can really get creative and display your seating plan in many different ways. From using a mirror to write on to using photo frames with the seating plan on to empty bottles and much more.
And then of course its then adding the other small touches to the tables - Table numbers, Favours, name placements, chair decorations for the top table and kids entertainment packs to name a few.

Siobhan and Andrew celebrated their wedding in Spain in style on a warm June day. Surrounded by their close family and friends this lovely couple got married in Spain on a stunning terrace with the sea as their backdrop. Siobhan and Andrew decided to get married at our exclusive beach club venue in Marbella, a truly spectacular Spainish wedding venue that is stylish and enjoys a luxurious vibe. The interior of the venue is breathtaking and offers you a classic style for your wedding day. The exterior is oustanding and has a range of locations for your wedding ceremony and wedding banquet and with the sea on your finger tips you can take advantage of this and enjoy some amazing wedding photo opportunities.
As Siobhan and her girls got ready and enjoyed plenty of pampering from our suppliers, Andrew and his boys in another room got themselves prepared for the biggest day of Andrews life and enjoy a cold beveage or two. They then joined the guests outside and waiting patiently for the bride and her bridal party to make their entrance.
Siobhan looked stunning as she walked down the aisle ready to meet her true love and exchange their wedding vows, with a lovely ceremony by the sea the couple said I DO and then moved onto the terrace area by the poolside with their guests to enjoy a welcome drink.
It was the perfect opportunity for Siobhan and Andrew to slip away with their talented wedding photographer Pierre Richardson and take advantage of the seafront view and capture some wonderful wedding photos.
It was then time for the them to rejoin their wedding guests for the wedding banquet, which was decorated beautifully by our talented venue decoratrors. The guests took to their seats and the new MR and MRS were introduced with a warm welcoming. With speeches exhanged which brought plenty fun, laughter and happy tears and the delicous food consumed, it was time to cut the cake which was made my one of our local supppliers.
Time for that magical moment... their first dance as Husband and Wife, as they took to the dance floor the guests watched in awe as they looked amazing together dancing to their special song. The guests them all joined them onto the dance floor and they enjoyed the rest of the evening celebrations.
Congratulations to Andrew and Siobhan on your wedding day, we wish you many happy years together and it was our pleasure being part of your special day.

As we moved into September we welcomed our first wedding of the autumn, the lovely Ghadeer and Ayham got married in our wonderful Spanish castle in Malaga that looks over the coastline. It is truly a magical place to get married in Spain and offers plenty of history, charm and charactor.
Ayham waited patiently looking forward to seeing Ghadeer make her entrance, as he stood at the bottom of the stairs out came Ghadeer and she looked fantastic, they joined together and made their entrance together accompained by a traditional drum player. The atmosphere was electric, after a wonderful ceremony everyone joined the couple to enjoy a welcome drink, the delightful guitarist playing in the background and of course those wonderful views.
Their wedding banquet was decorated beautifully, simple yet elegant decor and colours creating a lovely ambience, they really made use of the castles features within their decorations just adding soft romantic lighting and whites to ensure that the castle spoke for its self.
With delighful food consumed, speeches exchanged it was time to take in the evening entertainment which did not disappoint, Ghadeer and Ayham picked some traditional Spanish flamenco dancers as their wedding entertaiment who were amazing, as the couple joined the dancers on stage the guests cheered them along.
As the sun set, the beautiful castle lit up with those wonderful soft lighting taking the ambience to a whole new level, with plenty of romance in the air the couple celebrated their love with their first dance as Husband and Wife, they then welcomed everyone to join them to continue the celebrations into the evening.

Our last wedding in August 2018 was the lovely Iaina and Ben and we can't forgot their lovely westie dog that came along for the ride. As the sun shone over beautiful Spain, Laina and her ladies got prepared at their wedding venue which was our stunning boutique hotel in Nerja, with plenty of laughter, memories shared and with drinks flowing they enjoyed being pampered by our very talented makeup and hair suppliers. With Ben and his best man in another room, enjoying a glass or two they helped each get ready with lots of banter going on around the room.
Ben, his bestman and the rest of the guests made their way to the beautiful Spanish Church set up in the mountains that was truly spectucular, surrounded by white washed buildings, pebbled streets and breathtaking views everyone congregated inside the church eagerly awaiting the arrival of Laina and her bridesmaids.
Laina truly arrived in style with her dad by her side they passed through the streets in a horse and carriage that arrived at the Church ready for the biggest day of her life. The music started and everyone rosed and looked on as Laina made her entrance looking stunning. It was a lovely service and with rings exchanged, the priest was pleased to declare them Husband and Wife, a round of applause filled the church and they all exited onto the streets to throw confetti and congratulate the lovely couple.
Everyone made they way back to the wedding banquet venue which was our popular boutique hotel that is amazing inside and out, with stunning grounds, beautiful terrace areas and has an amazing backdrop for your wedding day celebrations with views across the Spanish Countryside, it is no wonder that Laina and Ben picked this venue to celebrate their wedding day in Spain.

They rejoined the guests as they made their entrance into the banquetting space and the new MR and MRS. With speeches shared, delicious food consumed and plenty of cava drunk, it was time for everyone to moved inside for the cutting of the cake and the first dance as Husband and Wife. It is always a lovely moment as the newly weds share that first dance together ready to start their next journey together, they invited everyone onto the dance floor and continued into the night dancing to all their favourtite songs.

Here is a FAB 2019 wedding season!!
Let’s discuss about creating the perfect atmosphere for your wedding day in Spain. After all this is your special day and it needs to be everything you have ever dreamed of and more. There are many different elements that makes up your wedding day which helps create the perfect ambience.
The first thing that we start with is your:
Venue - Picking the right venue for your wedding style is the first step in setting your ambience. Whether you are looking for a classic, elegant and sophisticated wedding then something like a historic property, grand mansion or a castle is the way to go for this type of wedding, we have some fantastic wedding venues in Spain that fit this criteria. If you are looking for a more rustic, relaxed feel to your wedding day then a beautiful private villa or a small boutique hotel is perfect for you and in Spain we have plenty of stunning boutique hotels and private villas that are ideal for this style of wedding.
Next is looking into your:
Wedding Colour - picking the right wedding colours really does make an impacted on your wedding ambience and atmosphere, with linking this to your wedding venue and style of wedding also helps with making a decision. Going for your soft pinks and whites creates a beautiful elegant and romantic ambience, with greenery, orange, browns and creams are perfect for a rustic and relaxed atmosphere. With a pop of colour really adds a wow factor to your wedding day, using bright colours creates a vibrant and colourful ambience and its perfect if you are looking for a fun energetic wedding venue. Also working with your colour scheme to the time of year can also help you pick your wedding colours, from soft pinks, yellows, blues for a spring wedding, pinks, purples, orange and blues for summer, orange, brown, grey, blue, green, reds and yellow are perfect for an autumnal wedding and then white, red, blue, black, green for a crisp winter wedding. There is so many colours to pick from you will be sure to find the perfect colour/colours that fit your wedding style, venue, season and of course most importantly your personality.
Now it’s time to think about:
Decorations - these play an important part of completing the perfect look and atmosphere for your wedding day. Picking the ideal decorations that will fit not only with your wedding venue but also your style of wedding whether that greenery, whimsical, romantic or vibrant to name a few. We work with some wonderful and talented venue decorators that will be on hand to help you with all your decoration needs and discuss what you are looking for to ensure that it all comes together just as you imagined. When we talk about decorations we are looking at table decorations, chair and aisle decorations and hanging decorations, all of these elements make up your wedding ambience and complete the look for your wedding day.
Now let’s talk about music within your wedding:
Music for ceremony, drinks reception and wedding banquet all play an important role within your wedding day to help create an excellent ambience for your special day. Picking the music for your ceremony is a big decision and its deciding whether you want your entrance and exit songs to be play by a musician, singer or through a CD. All options will be sure to make a wonderful and memorable entrance for you both. We work with some fantastic musicians and singers from harpists to a violinist who will play/sing your chosen songs. For the drinks reception it’s the chance where you and your guests get to mingle and enjoy the wonderful venue grounds before the wedding banquet starts, adding some background music to this element of the day really transforms the ambience, whether you pick a band, guitarist or just have your favourite songs on a playlist you will be sure to add a great atmosphere.
And the last element of ensuring your wedding day is atmospheric is:
Entertainment - Evening entertainment is a big decision and with a wide choice to pick from within Spain you will not be disappointed, depending on your budget and the style of wedding you are planning you could have just one entertainment for example a DJ or a band but if you fancy adding some Spanish into your wedding then the flamenco dancers are amazing.
I hope you have found this article useful and as always if you have any questions about any of the above information or elements within planning your wedding in Spain then please get in touch
